From the past to the present, people all over the world have been determined to live together, which is called marriage. In other words they depend on each other to live. Nevertheless, some couples are unable to maintain their relationships; therefore they choose divorce, which is one of the solutions to cope with problems between husband and wife. Furthermore most people think carefully before getting married. However, the divorce rate continually is on the increase nowadays, it might be argued that divorce is a much more common and easier to obtain today than in the past. There are*major causes of divorce: changing women’s roles, stress in modern living and lack of communication,The first significant cause of the recent rise in the rates of divorce is the women’s role in society has completely changed. In the past it was the role of the men to be the sole provider and afford the expense of the family whereas the womans role was to do the housework, cooking , tending to the children and other wifely duties. Women had no access to money leaving them to depend on their husbands. Because of these situations , it is to difficult for most woman to separate from their husbands. Nonetheless, these situations have entirely changed nowadays. The equality between men and women in roles are very clear at the moment. Women can work outside of the home to earn money , while the men share the household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, washing as well as caring for the children. It can be clearly seen that women are independent from men because they can earn moneyby themselves to support their living cost. Accordingly, the divorce rates recently rise.
