In my opinion for a kid a single parent is better than fighting parents.
what are they fighting for then? where is the love and understanding? excuse me i am divorced but i never had fight with my ex to be honest...( we both had this silent treatment attitudes).. cheers
Judy, your case might be both are matured but incompatible. But many cases one may be nagging type. You can be silent for a few moment or day not bothering, but that is too difficult. Home is a place for peace, support and happiness.
I GUESS FIGHTING PARENT HAS MORE IMPACT ON KIDS RATHER THEN SEPARATED.. BECAUSE EVEN KIDS CAN UNDERSTAND SLOWLY THAT SOMETHINGS NOT RIGHT BTWEEN THIER PARENTS SO THIER LIVE APART... BUT FIGHTING PARENTS IS SOMETHING THEY REALLY DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY FIGHT FOR ACTUALLY... SOMETIMES THEY ARE RIGHT TOO BECAUSE PARENTS FIGHT FOR SUCH SILLY N IDIOTIC THINGS.
I knew a couple with th same scenario...after their seperation...there were financial probs for the kid...and other things...even though the kid misses the otther parent quite badly... stlll..that kids score in school doubled...after the parents seperated...he is a happiier person now...
