Jaanvi, you made me laugh like a frog(?!) by the caption "how many frogs....". Not at all, you are not alone sweetheart. Many in this forum would agree that we should keep looking until we feel connected with that special one. But, being too cautious or desperate (i don't think u r) may not help us draw the line. One might be able to figure out when something ripens and that could be the time. I am sure and wish you would find Mr. Right (NOT Mr. Fix it, again!). May be taking a break from loong time "looking" could help ease such feelings. But, how do you find someone "suitable"? I think, the only way one might find someone suitable is after start living with that person for real. don't u think so? is there an alternate way? A couple of outings or dates may not be good enough to decide who is "suitable" as most of us human beings are so good and stay composed during this initial period and bring out the bests from us. Then we know what happens when the reality takes over. To cut it short, may be we shouldn't be too worried about the suitability rather focus on finding someone who resonates well and radiates the feel good/peaceful atmosphere around you consistently (it may not be possible for human beings to do so CONSTANTLY). Remember, u do not want a person who thinks and acts/behaves just like u wanted. cause' soon enough u would be bored! Unity in diversity, I think, could be the way to go. Until then lets keep looking....

Hi Samy..thanks for taking time out to respond...i agree with you totally and its good to know your perspective on this...the issue regarding living together is very difficult especially if you have kids as if he is not suitable the kids are already involved....I agree that in the short term people are on their best behaviour.....i suppose time tells everything...although the feelings you describe..good, peaceful atmosphere...i am already experiencing these sir by being alone.....and dare I say this.......i love being alone...heheheh oopppsss...

Yes Jannvi you are right and doing the right thing by liking ur loneliness. I am sure many of us love being alone. My question is for how long? Also, i did not mean that peace comes from outside or can be given by someone to another. It does not mean one can not live alone. we no longer hunt as a gang to feed ourselves! we could manage all by ourselves as a single or single dad/mom. But, are we not here because we miss something? are we not looking for someone to share our life with? ...someone to talk to, and at times someone to look up to? After all we are social animals and we have been, for ages, living in groups/pair(s) NOT as alone. Are we not driven by chemicals (not just harmones!) and shaped by evolution? Anyway, going back to ur reply, I meant you would be able to sense or make out if that someone would be a keeper or not. And again there are no Mr. perfect in this planet, but someone who comes closer to ur marks could be fine. I agree with u that living together concept to find the right martian/venusian is difficult not only when u have kids but also in societies that have not recognized such a thing. then how one could draw the line? purely based on expectations? this may not work in a long time as expectations keep changing. because life is purely a dynamic process and change is a permanent and an inevitable thing whether it is for good or bad (depending on how one takes it). I am sure ur are going to listen to ur heart (inner consciousness) and consider emotional/physical/material needs and decide (draw the line). As we are a diverse entity, everyone's way of doing/dealing it probably would be different and in such case we really should follow our own path. Diverse thoughts are most welcome. please pour them out guys.....thanks for ur time.

That would be cool, if it happens! May be we all should write to the founder of this site (http://www.secondshaadi.com/contact_us.php) and send a request to have such meeting(s) organized in major cities, periodically. I am thrilled about this idea. thanks Raj.

hehehe yah u do talk tooooo much....hehehe on a more serious note..you just see my pic and a few words and you think perhaps you can judge me but not at all...you actually dont know any percentage of me. As far as kids are concerned this is UK...for me..you dont expect your kids to support you...you support your kids..also im independent of support right now so im not at all helpless and im not searching for financial support im searching for my life partner...and yes I enjoy being alone....and of course having a partner to enjoy alone moments would be a blessing...my initial question was....how many frogs to u meet before you meet a prince..as in daily life..many come and go on the chat but how many turn out to be my PRINCE...answer is none.....but good to chat here on the forum..i find it extremely amusing.....and helpful also which is good.....anyway......less talking pls and more to the point .....intelligence is a turn on ...but useless talking is a turn off....heeheh i think i dont know....have never tried..okay ENOUGH....bye..

hey, lot of views but nothing to the point, well my point of view is patience, dont expect tooo much, & dont think too much well v indians say "sooch gehriy ho jaye to irade kamjoor ho jatee hai" (if u think too much u will never decide), & "sabar ka faal meetha hota hai" (patience has sweet fruits) :) & dont think marraige will happen overnite cause v all are already afraid of that mismatch not to happen again but life is a puzzle pieces fall in place at its own time,,may b your prince is infront of u in the form of a frog waiting for the princess to kiss him,,
